Hi Tom & Nana (and Kento!),

It’s Phoebe – you might remember me from about 6 or 7 years ago in little old Hofu! Brad Kennedy put me onto your blog. What a wonderful thing you’re all doing. Leaving the world in a better state than when you found it :-)
Happy farming and have a drink for me when you catch up with Brad & Steph in the coming weeks.
    Great blog – I love it :-)

    xxoo Love Phoebe

Hi Phoebe, what a lovely blast from the past.
Thanks an awful lot for your kind comments and glad you enjoy the blog.
Be sure that you’ll be much toasted when B&S arrive!
      Cheers!

    Tom,
Great Blog! I found your link on Ken Elwood’s site.
Not too many gaijins doing the country living thing over here, so it is great to see you guys going it, and being happy! We are doing it up here in ruraL Shizuoka prefecture and can hardly wait to retire and live it full time!
I’d like to try some of your recipes, they look great!
Drop me a line if you need anything!

      Hi Rick, nice handle;)
Thanks for your kind comments. I must stress that what we’re doing is not full time – we’re in the same boat as you, looking down the long tunnel to retirement – but gotta say the growing makes the main job much, much more tolerable!

      Cheers,

      Tom

Just getting around to trying the yuzushu and thought of you and your tribe immediately. It’s crazy good. It’s 3:45pm, and we might be tipsy it’s so good. Whee!

    Thanks, Joan.

I had a quick peek over at Popcorn Homestead and got very jealous, very quickly, for we have a surfeit of yuzu each year (incidentally, they’ve just come into bloom this week).

I’ll be sure to be pestering you with questions soon enough, sounds delectiable!

    Good job, well done!

    Cheers!!!!!

    T
