Christmas Lies, Threats & Terror

Christmas Lies, Threats & Terror

Being a fully paid-up parent has it’s advantages. One of these is to lie to, threaten and terrorise your impressionable offspring.

I’m takling of course, of Santa, who EVERYONE, (no-one more than our 3yr old)  knows, only gives presents to good children.

Bwa ha ha. He’s now brainwashed so badly that the mere utterance, “Kento… Santa…” will stop him immediately in whatever mid-mayhem he may be up to.

The brainwashing has even seeped into his greed. He wants “oranges” for Christmas. Cool. Oranges? That just might be doable… For a project started when he was but a twinkle in his father’s eye is coming to fruition at just the right time: The citrus are colouring up…

Unshu tangerines

Decorations...

Seville Row

Mini yuzu

Kumquat

Hassaku. Big. Yellow.

Five years’ work, a long, long labour of love. Now we’re crackin’.

Ho.

Ho.

HOOOOO!!!!!

Lovely post. My friends have a burglar alarm with the motion sensors in each room which are now “Santa cams” and “they go red when “he is watching”….genius!

Thanks for the story, Rew. Any which way to “manage” the jumpers is well recieved.
Your story made me think, too, as to why I’m Over Here rather than being Back Home… In the 9 long years I’ve spent in countryside Japan, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a burglar alarm on a residential building, and certainly never heard of someone being burgled.
One more to add to the tradeoff of crap beer and no Latics. Fingers crossed for good results this next coupla weeks, eh?
      All the best,

      T

Ah! Another Terror of Santa afficianado. Kudos! How’s the story with getting your car menkyo? You should all come on over and run, run, run around…

Those trees look fantastic, Mr Taylor. Good job.

My screen seems to be infested with some dreadful virus though. Weird white dots keep floating around. ;)

The screen isn’t infected – it’s yer eyes. Too much nekkid fruit, I suspect. A boxload of which is coming your way soon ;) BTW, tell The Boy that his leaves are dropping…

      Cheers,

      T

Wow, that is an impressive citrus orchard you have going there Tom. The hard work has paid off!

It’s my favoutire place in the whole, wide world, Brad. And the good thing is…

It’s only going to get better. Imagine it in about 5 years from now…

Now if that’s not enough incentive for a visit, I don’t know what is ;)

      Cheers,

      T
